I've just had a WHS2011 system built. The OS is on a SSD with the data to be kept on 4 - 2TB drives in a RAID5 configuration. The Drive Manager sees the RAID array as "Drive 0" and it was partitioned into 2 partitions of 2TB and 3.5TB.
It would allow me to format the first partition (2TB) as a simple drive, but wouldn't let me do anything with the remaining partition. Any suggestions?
The easy thing is to remove the partitions (clean the "disk"), then let Windows Home Server manage the disk for you. It will partition the array into multiple 2 TB chunks, and one chunk that's less than 2 TB.I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
