fields losing data after refresh

  are you committing the data, making sure the attribute is listed as "dirty" by whatever method you're using to populate the field?  Forcing an update?

  What's getting lost?

  Actually it is a call status lookup field which contains 'Open' and when it is changed to 'Close' some Javascript function runs and prompts a dialog box that it cannnot change it to 'close'.

  When ok is clikced on dialog box the main fom is losing call status field data i.e 'Open' and showing blank.

  What can I do for this?

  so the issue is that it sounds like the JS runs after the change is already made, so the old field data is "lost".  So you could manually set the field back to Open in the JS, or find another method to prevent that field from being changed.

  Is there any reason it's a lookup and not an option set?
