  • 1/5/08 I renewed my ONE, In order to do this I was prompted to have a HOTMAIL account so I did. Within a day I received this E-MAIL thanking me for my purschase. I still have an orange balloon telling me to renew. I've edited all the info on my account it shows "PAID IN FULL". Where do I go from here?

    Thanks for any help, Ken

    • In OneCare, click on check for updates. What happens?

Is the date and time on your PC correct?

You may want to contact support -

How to reach support - http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2421771&SiteID=2

If it fails to validate your subscription, select the option that you are using a trial or beta copy and you can proceed to email support without validation once you've signed in.

    • Stephen, Thank you for the fast responce. When I click updates it checks and saids you are up todate.

Yes the day and time are correct. When I try to renew through my version of ONE it brings me to me e-mail address and asks for my password after entering it Well I think you can see what happends.

We can't complete your request right now. Please try again later.

If you get this message more than once, report it as a recurring problem.

If I press continue I'm promped to view my account that states I'm paid in full.

And an other dead end. I'm not to sure if it matter but I upgraded to Vista the first day it was out and purshased my own version of ONE. I've still got time left before my scrip before it runs out. I must admit this isn't what I'd expect from Microsoft.

    • There appears to be a problem with getting the subscription data from the server to your copy of OneCare. My recommendation is to contact support. Alternatively, since you have an active subscription that shows the correct renewal status on the Billing site, you may want to try uninstalling OneCare, reinstalling it and activating with your same LiveID. Note that all settings you may have modified will be lost if you reinstall.

    • You didn't include any text in your reply, Ken. Did you have an update on this problem?
