Folder one computer of 4 refuses to sync

Question
-
I have been using Live Mesh quite successfully for a while now. Just recently, however, one of my computers refuses to sync files. It downloads all the placeholders but will never finish downloading the actual files.
The folder will sync succesfully to 3 other computers without any problems.
The source folder is on a Vista x64 Sp1 computer, the problem destination folder is on a XP SP3 machine.
I have deleted the folder from the mesh, sent a new invitation, and tried various other ways to get the folder to sync but nothing will get it to sync.
Any suggestions?Monday, November 24, 2008 10:06 PM

Hi,
We've been seeing some similar reports of sync failures recently. If you wouldn't mind, could you please collect logs from that computer (Start Menu > All Programs > Live Mesh > Collect Live Mesh Logs, which will generate a .cab file on your desktop) and send them to lmprev@microsoft.com so that we can take a closer look? Please mention bug 24591 in the Subject of your email, and include your forum handle and the title of this forum thread in the body of the message. We will let you know as soon as we have a workaround or resolution.
Thank you for helping us test Live Mesh,

I'm trying to send the CAB file but it is over 10MB! Are they supposed to be that big?
Also, i noticed another couple of issue: on the Live Mesh Desktop, the folder is set to sync with the desktop even though I changed the setting to not to sync with the live desktop. If I try to change the setting, the setting never "takes."
Additionally, I put the CAN file in the same folder to see if it would sync. The result so far has been the Live Mesh icon spins and it shows that the file is being downloaded but it never gets past 20 bytes (yes bytes, not KB or MB).
Once I figure out how to get the CAB to my computer, I'll send it to you right away.Tuesday, November 25, 2008 8:00 PM -
Hi,
There are a couple of options for getting the logs to us. You can extract the CAB and delete all but the most recent MOE log, then zip up the remaining files, which should reduce the size somewhat. Or you can open a bug through Connect and attach the logs there.
Please let me know what you'd like to do. And thank you for your willingness to work with us!

Removed all but the last log file and zipped it up. Still 8MB. Will try to upload directly to connect.
The compact database file is 60MB uncompressed btw.Tuesday, November 25, 2008 9:05 PM
