  • Hello Tommyhart,

No need to look anything up, we can see by the report that your installations of Windows XP Pro and Office Enterprise 2007 both suffer from the same problem----they are both nongenuine volume licensing installations that were done with Invalid Volume Licensing Product Keys.  Invalid VLKs are made up by a pirating program called a Key Generator (KeyGen) and were never real product keys issued by Microsoft.

Does the computer have a Certificate of Authenticity (CoA) affixed to it for any version or edition of Windows?  If so please tell us which, but don't post the product key.

Do you have any genuine-looking installation discs for Windows and/or Office?  Do you have any retail packaging or installation materials for Windows or Office?

To see genuine and counterfeit installation discs and associated materials, please visit www.howtotell.com and look at both the Windows and Office sections.

  • Hello Tommyhart,

Microsoft does have a "Get Genuine" program for both Windows and Office.  You would go to www.microsoft.com/genuine and click on the "Validate Windows" and "Validate Office" buttons.  When your programs are identified as nongenuine, the website will present you with the Windows Genuine Advantage Offer and the Office Genuine Advantage Offer.

  • i did that but no option to do windows xp was present only win 7

  • Microsoft has discontinued Windows XP so we could no longer include it in the Windows Genuine Advantage Offer program.
