  • Question

  • My enviromnment is:
    - Microsoft Word 2007 with PDF/XPS ADD-in.
    - The document is in a .doc 97-2003 compatible format
    - the equation is in Microsoft Equation 3.0 format

When I save as the document in PDF there is a problem with brackets rendering.

    Equations in word document:

    Resultant Equations in PDF document:

    Instead I also noted that:
    - the smaller brackets like (i,j) are printed correctly.
    - if I use "free PDF CREATOR" the equations are rendered correctly,
but I don't want use it because it don't generates the browsable summary...
    - finally if I convert the equation in "Mathtype 6.0 Equations" the brackets, that appear screwed in above pdf, completely disappear!

    Help!!!

"The document is in a .doc 97-2003 compatible format"

I know this might be a stupid question, but do you yield the same results after converting into a .docx format.

Although I have had similar problems when printing and using pdf creater with a .docx file, however the file was almost 7Mb. Using the xps/pdf add in allowed me to print it all out but I didn't think much of it at the time.
