show the extracted solution version Number in the header of crm RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

can i extract the solution version number and show it in the header of crm.

can i use the crm header to show infos in 3 colums.

    - left: Link to Dashboard with FAQs, Updates, News
    - center: diplay our company logo, instead auf the ms dny. logo
    - right: show the crm-version-Number (extracted from the solution version) and the username etc. (like it is in standard)

Is it possible to change the above.

and if yes .. how can we deploy this to every of our hosted customers (crms)?

    thx, greets Pit

  • Hi,

    1) and 2). This cannot be done the supported way.

Changing the header is not supported at this time. You could do some unsupported way, but again in future service packs or future CRM versions your unsupported customizations can get overridden. Or your unsupported customizations could lead to some side effects. Please have a read:

Please read this article for unsupported insights which can show you some way:

Microsoft is aware of this and this will be somewhat supported in future. Please have a look and vote at: Customization of user interface UI style ( branding, themes, header).

I hope this helps. If my response answered your question, please mark the response as an answer and also vote as helpful.
