Missed Call Notification RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

i found a strange problem using UM & OCS.

As soon as i start OCS server everything work fine.

I get "Missed Call Notification" and "Voice Mail" message asap.

After about an hour, the Voice Mail messages still work but the missed call notification doesn't arrive anymore.

Here what's logged on OCS front end:

    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: OCS Inbound Routing
    Event Category: (1037)
    Event ID: 45024
    Date:  13/07/2007
    Time:  15.59.33
    User:  N/A
    Computer: SERVER-02
    Description:
An attempt to use an Exchange UM Server for a missed call notification failed: myserver
    Failure occurrences: 7, since 13/07/2007 12.53.21.
Failure Details: Failure occurred while connecting. The application did not register for this Redirecting event or requested to stop honoring pending redirects.

I really don't know what's happening. Exchange doesn't log anything!

    Thanks in advance

    Mick

  • Are you using Exchange SP1?

You also might try posting this on the Exchange Forums:

  • No, I'm not using Sp1. I configured UM manually because Exchange server is a production server and i'll wait for Sp1 final release before installing it.

I thought that this could be the problem, even if the configuration seems ok.

    Thanks anyway,

    Hi Mick,

We are also running an Exchange 2007 server without Service Pack. We are getting an identical error message. I'm yet to test your theory in that a reboot temporarily fixes the problem, however I'm curious whether you have made any progress on this problem.

Every other aspect of our Exch/OCS Intergration is working flawlessly which makes me think that it's something a little buggy.

    Cheers,

    Simon.

I think you answered your own question Smile  I've seen a couple unexplainable errors vanish after installing SP1; I don't think there is a good reason not to deploy or beginning planning to deploy SP1.  If either of you have done so please post back if the issue was resolved by SP1.
