Firefly Media Server file locations RRS feed

  • Question

  • How does Firefly file storage work? I removed all files on the C drive and apparantly all files on the data disk are removed too? How does firefly stores it's files and what effect does this have on the C drive?? Are the files shown on the C (sys) drive a symlink for the 'real' data on the DATA disk?

  • The folders under c:\program files\winstron\wiDMS\*. Where * are actually foldernames identical to the shares on the DATA drive who are being served by Firefly. It appears to be an 'normal' folder file but has no effect on the volume itself.

  • When you say you removed "all" files on the C: drive, which folders on C: are you actually referring to?
