Paste it to Notepad, and edit out the URLs (http://....) - this is a restriction induced by SPAM filters.
Sorry about the typo in the first command - but if the data had been wrong, we'd have had a different error in the original report anyhow :)
Please run a full CHKDSK and SFC scan....
Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-click on the Command Prompt entry
Select Run as Administrator and accept the UAC prompt - the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up.
At the Command prompt, type
CHKDSK C: /R
and hit the Enter key.
You will be told that the drive is locked,
and the CHKDSK will run at he next boot - hit the Y key, press Enter, and then reboot.
The CHKDSK will take a few hours depending on the size of the drive, so be patient!
After the CHKDSK has run, Windows should boot normally (possibly after a second auto-reboot) -
then run the SFC.
SFC -System File Checker - Instructions
Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-click on the Command Prompt entry
Select Run as Administrator and accept the UAC prompt - the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up.
At the Command prompt, type
SFC /SCANNOW
and hit the Enter key
Wait for the scan to finish - make a note of any error messages - and then reboot.
Copy the CBS.log file created (C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log) to your desktop (you can't manipulate it directly) and then compress the copy and upload it to your SkyDrive Public folder (http://skydrive.live.com ) and post a link to it so that I can take a look.
Post a new MGADiag report with details of any error messages encountered.

TTS Error: T:20130319194842038-
You have a Trusted Store Tamper - often caused either by mistaken attempts to 'tidy up' the system, or by malware.
Please download and install Malwarebytes Anti-malware (free version) from http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/ - UNtick 'Enable free trial of MBAM PRO' at the end of the installation - and update it, then run a full scan in your main account, and Quick scans in any other user accounts.
Delete everything it finds

Saturday, March 23, 2013 5:11 AM -
Run the Avast cleanup tool....
Download the Avast removal utility from here http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility
Follow the instructions for running it, and when complete, reboot the machine.
After the reboot, open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run the following command
NETSH WINSOCK RESET
You'll be advised to reboot - do so.

That's changed the error type -
Recreate the Licensing Store
Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-Click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator - accept the UAC prompt
Run the following commands in the Command Prompt window, using the Enter key at the end of each
net stop sppsvc
(wait until the service has stopped before entering the following lines)
CD %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
REN tokens.dat tokens.bar
net start sppsvc
slui.exe
After a couple of seconds the Windows Activation dialog will appear.
You may be asked to re-activate and/or re-enter your product key, or Activation may occur automatically.
If you are asked for your Key, use the one on the COA sticker on the machine's case
Reboot and Post back with a new MGADiag report

You're using Windows 7, not Vista - the proper name for the service is the SPPSVC, and the file is sppsvc.exe
so the commands become....
Reg Query HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ssppsvc
DIR C:\Windows\System32\sppsvc.exe
cd %systemroot%
net start sppsvc
don't even try to run the file directly - it will always error out.

I reran the MCAdiag and pste and get the mesage "Body text cannot contain iamghes or links until we have verified your account" and won't let me paste itSunday, March 24, 2013 2:42 PM

Noel I think the previous changes & reboot may have worked. the message is gone and I was able to run updates and Windows shows as activated now. Do you recommedned I still run these additional tests above?
Where can I find the product key in windows 7? I see the ID under Computer properties Windows activation but not the product key
Thanks for your help

They certainly won't hurt - but probably won't improve things at all.
Please post a new MGADiag report so we can see what's changed.
The product Key is in the registry in encrypted form - your COA Key is on the COA sticker on the machine's case. (Do mot use it unless you have to!)
