    I would like to download the software using my product key from the software I purchased but cannot get to install.

    Don't install from the CD, instead go to  - http://onecare.live.com and install the trial. After One Care is installed open it and press the activate or subscribe button. Follow the prompts and when you get to payment method select pre-paid PIN. Enter the product identification number included with the CD.
