Can and can't do, rev share

Question
-
2 questions:1. Am I allowed to make the following proposition to users:- "get XYZ for free in exchane for searching online via my search engine" (let's call it ABC search).- If they go to Google (for example) they will get a banner that says "you can't use Google because you opted to receive XYZ, redirecting you to ABC search".- The user will always be able to opt out of this at anytime, but will not longer be able to get XYZ for free.2. What kind of revenue share is offered in the paid listings program (assume search volume greater than 100MM queries per month). Thanks,AristoMonday, March 9, 2009 10:25 PM

Hi Aristo,
Regarding your first question, there is no provision I am aware of preventing your from implementing an experience like the one you described.
Regarding your second question, Following industry-wide standard practice, Microsoft does not currently share revenue share percentages broadly.
If you have a specific question with regard to revenue share for your application, please fontact api_tou at microsoft dot com.

Hi Aristo,
The terms of use for using the Live Search API is located here http://search.live.com/developers/tou.aspx.
And the lay man's version is located here http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd440746.aspx.
That should explain what you can and cannot do with the Live Search API results.
For your second question, please apply for search Ads using the information at http://help.live.com/help.aspx?project=searchdevctr&querytype=keyword&query=sda&mkt=en-US and we will get back you if you are approved for the pilot.
Thanks

Hi Roopalik,
I read the TOS and I had our legal read the TOS as well before submitting this question and I see no problem. Still, I'd like a positive confirmation that this is ok.
Regarding applying for search ads - we submitted an application but never heard back. We currently work with Google and our volume is about 100MM queries per month.
Can you send me an email to mstemp2000@gmail.com ?
Thanks,
