While accessing PWA, IE is prompting for login credentials & password RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am using Internet Explorer 9 and Project server 2007. Whenever I try to access PWA, IE is prompting for login credentials & password. Sometimes IE9 automatically closes itself.

How to sort this annoying issue? Will deleting IE cache & temporary files help?

    Thanks in advance! Cheers

  • Hi Khaldun,

    please check your IE Settings.

Usually the URL of the PWA-Site should be entered in the Trusted Sites.

Therefore go to the Internet Options and to "Security". Mark "Trusted Sites" and click on "Sites". If you can't see the URL of your PWA in the list, add them and close the dialogue. After that click on "Custom Level" and scroll to the end of the list. Under "Logon" check the option "Automatic logon with current user name and password".

If you have trouble with ActiveX Controls you can check these Options in the same dialogue box.
