Gaining Certification on Web development 70-515 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I am looking to start my certification path and the first course I am embarking on is the Web Development Course.

During my research, I have a number of questions, and I would like some guidance to ensure that I am making the right decisions and give myself a reasonable chance of success. Here my questions:

    • Where can I get a full syllabus of the course? I note in Microsoft's "My Learning" there is "Learning Plan for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0, Web Applications Development (Exam 70-515)", but is this the syllabus or just guidance? I have the skills measure from the exam overview, but I am looking for detail.
    • When looking at training material, there is no E-Learning courses, and unfortunately, my current workload does not allow me to commit to classroom courses. Therefore, how do people view the MCTS Self-Paced Training Kit (Exam 70-515): Web Applications Development with Microsoft .NET Framework 4? Does it come with an exam discount? Is it worth purchasing other books from say Apress or Wrox, etc to supplement the learning?

Can someone give me their feelings and thoughts on this, please?

    Thanks

Answers

  • The syllabus is only available through the facility that provides the classes.

Your alternative would be to purchase the MS Press self-study guide.  Amazon has it in stock.  CBT Nuggets also has online videos for ths.
