Multi-Party Video Conferencing Issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have set-up the A/V Conferencing role and associated configuration. My users can set up a video conference in Office Communicator with multiple users connected, but
only two people can see each other on the screen at the same time. We would like to have multiple people(a la Brady Bunch show) on the video conference on the screen at all times. Any idea how to accomplish this?

    Thanks,
    Alex

  • OCS does not support that natively.  Only the active and previous speaker's video streams are transmitted by the A/V Conferencing engine to all remote parties.  There is a third party system that supposedly adds that type of functionailty to OCS but I have not heard muhc about it.

The Roundtable device is the only way to include an additional video stream but it will still only display the active speaker in the main window, with a panoramic view available as a second video stream.
