Currently undergoing a accounting software conversion. We are moving to Microsoft AX 2012 and I have a couple questions in regard to uploading historic usage data, that will allow us to utilize the Master Planning/ Forecasting aspect.
1. Is it possible to upload our legacy systems inventory historic usage data? That would allow the Microsoft AX to reference so we can use the master planning functionality in the program.
This information is readily available to be uploaded DIEF. Our current consultants state this is not possible and the system will recognize historic usage once we have approx. a years worth of data. I have searched all over TechNet and found nothing in regards
to uploading data that allows the MRP system within AX use.
2. If this is not possible, at what point would the system data be trust worthy to reference when ordering based off forecasted item requirements?
This can easily be completed on excel, but again, this defeats the purpose of utilizing this function in AX.
