CRM Rollup 7 works fine for Laptop offline client but won't connect from Win 7 non-offline client

Question

I installed rollup 7 on my Lenovo T500 Win 7 64 Outlook 2003. CRM Outlook Offline Client worked beautifully. BRAVO! Much better for road wariors!!!!!!!
On my desktop (GEFORCE 760i MB, Intel Quadcore & 8gb RAM, Win 7 64 & Office 2003 with CRM Outlook Client - non ofline version), I installed the Rollup 7 rollup 7 and it can not communicate with the server. I have tried reconfig, repair and several other steps. I keep getting the message that there is a problem communicating with the server. I can access CRM using the web client from that PC as well.
Any ideas?

Hi Stephen,
here is a article from microsoft about Rollup Udate 7 and the Outlook Client:
Issues may occur in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 for Microsoft Office Outlook after you install Update Rollup 7 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0

And I know you checked this or I hope you did , but did you check the firewall?
And I did notice that with Win7 Kerberos is tried before NTLM so if you can't resolve via DNS it's going to fail.- Marked as answer by Donna EdwardsMVP Wednesday, October 28, 2009 7:55 PM

Hi Stephen,
There is a chance the issue is not caused by rollup 7 and just happened to occur at the same time. Just in case, did you also apply update rollup 7 to the server?
Next item I'd try is to completely remove outlook crm client and re-install.
