  • Dear Steve,

I decided to use SYSTEM RESTORE and it worked !

    The computer is working normally.

Thank you very much for your help.

  • Have you rebooted the PC?

Did you perform a Tune-up in OneCare or did you perform a Virus and Malware complete scan? (I moved your thread to the Tune-up topic)

Was anything reported as having been found?

  • Dear Steve,

From time to time I want to make sure I do not have any problems with virus and spywares.

That is the reason I run the scan of viruses and spywares from WLOC.

Today I have not found any problems after the scans until today.

I did not find viruses or spywares.

    Regards,

  • Windows XP Home SP2 (SP3)?

    Internet Explorer 7

    Outlook Express 6

    =======================

    Dear Steve,

I still have problems, which I believe were caused by WLOC or SP3:

    I have a DSL Xtreme 6.0 with AT&T.

As the system slowed down, I tried to check the speed using speed.fastaccess.com.

After I entered my phone number as required and hit enter, then the page disappear and go back to the desktop.

    I want to ask you:

If I try and go to the Internet Page:

    Tools

    Internet Option

    Advanced

    Reset

    Reset Internet Explorer Settings

    Reset

To make sure that IE7 is correct.

    Do I loose FAVORITES?

Another thing I am thinking is to get in touch wit WLOC technical support.

Do you have a number available?

    Thank you very much, Steve.

    Regards,

    Roberto

  • Resetting the IE settings from Tools/Options/Advanced will not do anything to Favorites.

You can reach OneCare support by following the instructions here, Roberto:
