Teams SHOULD have a security role ??!! RRS feed

    Hello all,

               Is it necessary to have a security role for a team ?!!  In my case, am including many users [with different security roles ] into a team. so if I give some security role to that particular  team , then users from that team will inherit those security roles and it would be a big mess then.  I want to avoid that, and thinking of not to give any security roles to  a  team !! what am doing is correct ?

    And also , what difference does it make to a team  with security roles and without security roles ??!!!  can some please clear my doubts..

    You can work with Teams without giving them Roles unless you do not assign any records to those teams. When you want to assign some records to team without roles it will give you an error.

    I you assign security role to team users of that team will get a union of the permissions from personal and team level.

    Yeah that should work. But before doing that compare least security role given to user and salesperson role. Because you might have removed some of the privileges to users. If need be copy SalesPerson Role to a new one and set least privileges to team role.

    Oh !! We should be able to assign records to teams !! hmm... so that  means, i should give minimum security role to team. May be "sales person" security role would do, because the users from that team has higher level of security level..   !! or if there is any alternative pls let me know ..
