I'm finally done with this product.  I beta tested it for a long time, and had half the problems that I've had since I went to a normal subscription copy.  It is a constant battle with OneCare to keep it "green."  I had to remove it from both my notebook and the desktop computers because it ceased to function, and would take uninstalling and reinstalling to make it work again.  I've unistalled and reinstalled at least 4 or 5 times in the past year.  It doesn't like some of my other programs, and i have to either uninstall and reinstall them after OneCare is up and running.  It also won't look for a prior copy of the the backup, so i have to restart that whole process too. When i try to delete the old version of the backup, it states that it can't be done.  Talk about a waste of storage space. I just found it's more headache than it's worth.  It's just sad because it has nice features, i just wish it worked better.

  • I am also done with Liveonecare ! It is an understatement to say that there is any value for money in it.

Liveonecare really annoyed me. It messed up all the systems at home and at work.

It took me a lot of time to repair all these.

When Liveonecare was running at the background it was impossible to build a VPN connection .

The HELP didn't provide any help to overcome this problem.

Finally good a old google search provided a solution.

Go to http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=663806&SiteID=2 for simple and complete uninstall, because normal procedures do not work here!

Only care for live in this manner once!

    Good luck.

  • I'm sorry that you feel that OneCare provides no value for the money due to your problem with a VPN connection. I can't speak to your specific environment, but some VPN software will not work with OneCare (and other security software) simply because of the way the VPN software expects to interact with the network stack.
