I had initially upgraded my machine from Windows XP x86 to Vista x86 and then decided that I wanted to take advantage of the 64-bit processor that my machine had, so I reinstalled Vista Ultimate using the 64bit disk. When I went to reinstall my Windows Live OneCare I found that the old x86 edition would not work for the 64bit. I had recently purchased OneCare from Microsoft using their online purchasing. I then found that there was a Beta that was able to run on 64bit Vista and so I downloaded that. However, I am now unable to activate my Beta using my subscription that I had purchased with x86. Is this a known issue or did Microsoft lose my subscription information?
Please help as OneCare cost me $50 and I would really like to use it!
Thanks
