All CRM ribbon buttons missing in CRM 2011 for Outlook after adding a custom group to the existing CRM 2011 ribbon

Question

Hi all, I have added a custom group with a few custom buttons to an existing tab to the applicaiton ribbon for CRM 2011. The custom group with all custom buttons are displayed properly in CRM 2011 web client; however, when you are in Outlook (outlook 2010) and click on any CRM entity, no ribbon buttons are dispalyed on the top (NO RIBBON), although you can see the list view on the right pane and open any pages of that entity by clicking.
I have been researching and trying on different solutions for the past few days, could anyone help with this?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Regards
Lisa

Thanks Greets for the suggestion. I did follow the instruction and removed the registry. It still has the same problem, any other solutions?
Thank you.

maybe u could post a tracefile when u enable logging for crm client, this would be great.. but i think u can update to rollup3 both server and client, not sure that this would fix the issue but updates are always important...

Does the ribbon disappear if your custom buttons are not present? Just trying to understand if the behavior persists when there is no customization to the ribbon.

I've the same problem. There are no custom buttons or something like that. It happens in a (more or less) clean Outlook environment.
We have the situation that our CRM 2011 Server is on Rollup 3 (5.0.9688.1244). When I install the CRM Outlook Client, it automaticaly updates to Rollup 5 (5.0.9688.1533). So I guess that the problem depends on the differnet Rollup versions. Sadly I can't update our CRM server atm.

thanks Carsten, problem solved!
Obviously a CRM extension for RSS-feeds we implemented in CRM4.0 was the reason. In the meantime we migrated the system to 2011 what seems to cause the problem now.problem solved, thanks for the link!
