Outlook 4.0 client doesn't prompt for login RRS feed

  • My experience is that, once configured, the Outlook client on an Internet Facing Deployment prompts for login on launch.  I just configured a user and that doesn't happen.  For her to get in she must first browse to the CRM, check save password during login, the while the web client is open start Outlook.

     

    Until she reboots, Outlook is logged.  Once she reboots these steps are required.

     

    Why / what setting is keeping Outlook for prompting for login on its own?

    We provide hosted CRM 4.0 to our customers and I have not seen the issue that you speak of, but it may be worth checking that your IFD has forms based authentication turned on, as this is what we have set on our system and we only ever get prompted for the logon at initial config of the client, other than that (as long as rememebr password is ticked) it works a charm
