Office 2007 failing validation

Question
-
I bought a new laptop about 2 months ago and purchased Office 2007 for it. Since then, I have downloaded templates and clip art from the microsoft site, mainly for Publisher 2007. Today when I attempted to download a template for Word 2007, I got the error that I may have counterfeit software and that Office could not be validated. I clicked on the Get Genuine button. It brought me to a web page that stated Validation Successful. However, I still get the same error that Microsoft cannot validate my copy of office every time I try to download a template. When I ran the diagnostic, my office product reports as being genuine. Any help on resolving this would be appreciated.
Thanks, Karen

Sassythor,
I have a guess that you might want to try.
Your report is showing that you have two installations of Microsoft Office 2007: Professional Edition and Home and Student Edition.
It is common for major computer manufacturers like HP to install a trial version of Office 2007 Home and Student Edition.
My guess is that your Office H&S edition was a trial, that the trial was either never activated or it was activated and expired (although that should return a 102 status code that we are not seeing) and the validation site is getting confused by the two installations.
If that sounds plausible, try uninstalling the installation of Office 2007 Home & Student from the Control Panel, then restart the computer, then retry downloading the templates from within one of the Office apps.

Hello sassythor,
I would really like to get a better understanding of this issue so we can better assist not only you but other users with similar problems as well
Please run the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostictic Tool again unaltered in a new singal post for inclusion with the support incident.

Sorry about that. I didn't alter what I had posted, I just pasted the output from a word doc that I had saved the info in. Here it is again, straight from the tool. Please let me know if you need any further information.

Hello Sassythor,
I would really like to get a better understanding of this issue so we can better assist not only you but other users with similar problems as well. two things,
Are you downloading templates for Excel, Word?
Are you downloading from with in the Office Suite or from Microsoft website?
You may need a re-installation, try a clicking Detect and Repair from the help menu in your Office Suite.
Once you have completed the above steps let’s try to download the templates.

I am downloading templates for Word and Publisher 2007. I am going into either word or publisher, clicking on NEW and selecting a template to use. This template then attempts to download from microsoft's website, so the Genuine Advantage program runs and throws and error that I may have a counterfit version. After clicking Get Genuine, it brings up a web page that states "Validation Successful" but I still can't download from within the application.
I tried the detect/repair. This did not fix my problem. I uninstalled the software and reinstalled. I still get the error when trying to download while in the one of the office suite programs, like Word. However, if I go to microsoft and go to the templates page, I can download without a problem.
Not sure if it matters but I am running Vista Home Premium in 64-bit mode. Please let me know if you need any further information.

Sassythor,
I have a guess that you might want to try.
