Question

This HP Notebook has never been upgraded since purchasing in 2007. This message just popped up last night and I ran a system restore thinking this was some kind of Malware or something. I still get the message upon reboot. What the heck is going on? I have been running this computer for OVER THREE YEARS and have downloaded COUNTLESS WINDOWS UPDATES and NEVER SEEM TO CATCH A BREAK WITH MICROSOFT constantly demanding TENS OF HOURS fixing and patching this nightmare OS. I have read some of the posts and ran the WGADIAG tool... Below is the report.

Odd, my Vista installations work just fine.

Thanks again Dan. The product key worked and activated with no trouble. The interruption came as it often does at a time when I really needed to be able to use my computer unfettered with yet another "Pardon me Mr. Customer, but we think you're a thief and need you to check in one more time for the Digital Microsoft Potential Suspect Counterfeiter Line-up" message... This may have cost me a hundred bucks. So I feel justified in my anger.
My Vista runs... I wouldn't say fine though. I'm talking about the dozens of times I have to download updates. Often it's right when I'm doing something important like last night and today. Then there's the Service Packs and the rebooting... So yes... Tens of hours... Not much better than XP. This PC has 2 GB of RAM and a decent AMD Proc... It runs... but it's not fine. I'm glad you're having a good experience.
And I am VERY GRATEFUL for your quick and efficient solution. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
Sincerely,
Don
PS - I'm surprised by the editing of my sentence. TV lets you say far worse... Interesting.
