Server side sync error on appointments, contacts and task, but no info RRS feed

  • I've configured CRM 2016 update 0.1 to use server side sync. Both are on premises.

    For about half of the users this works fine. The other half has two errors that don't seem to be related, but do occur in the same group:

    - When I test and enable a mailbox, the test results come back with an error on appointments, contacts and tasks. But there's no information on why this error occurs on the warning tab.

    - The same users also have an issues configuring a mapping to a folder in their mailbox to a record in CRM. When saving, it gives an error and there's no good description. On this error I've gone to the trace logs as well, but I can't seem to find something relevant.

    Does anybody have an idea how to troubleshoot and/or solve these issues?

  • I've figured this out myself. The users had a custom role that were migrated from CRM 2016. They need permissions to create, save and edit a mailbox folder.
