Master Projects, subprojects and PWA RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm running Project Server 2007.

I have a master project with one subproject (subprojA). Some resources have tasks  in the master project itself, others have tasks in the subproject only, still others have tasks in both the master project and the subproject. Is there a way for my resources to see their task assignments in PWA My Timsheet by accessing only the master project, or do they have to go My Timesheet, subprojA & put in hours, then go to the master project and put in hours? I want them to go to master project line only, and from there be able to access subprojA tasks. Possible?

  • They will have to go into each project to put in their hours.  The master project / sub project relationship is just that, it's a relationship, and PWA treats each items as it's own entity.

  • Can you not just customize the My Timesheet view? Perhaps change the sort or grouping order to not be the default by Project but perhaps some other common field?
