you have a couple of problems,
the one that counts is you have a counterfeit windows.
you are using a windows 7 OEM SLP key which requires a win 7 compliant bios, however your bios date 9/19/2007 is well before the release of windows 7. looks like your install was done using a hackers loader program (bios emulator)
you will have to purchase and install a genuine windows or revert to the windows your computer came with.
OEM SLP: This key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes from the Factory. This key is geared to work with the special instructions found only on that Manufacturer's computer hardware. So when Windows was installed using the OEM SLP key (at the factory) Windows 7 looks at the motherboard and sees the special instructions and Self-Activates

Thanks Carey,
This OS is what came preloaded on my laptop. I had a problem with my CPU (cores were not communicating properly causing the pc to lock up), so I found another identical chassis and loaded my hdd, optical drive and was able to save my power bricks, batteries, etc.). But the net result is as you state: I now have a counterfeit OS.
I also have a Win 7 Ultimate OS I bought separately previously, and should be able to use that to legitimize my OS, but how do I go about doing that? Do I have to reload the OS (losing everything else I have loaded - gag!), or is there a way I can take this disc and use it to 'update' my system?
Thanks,
Tim

because of the activation hacks you will have to install a genuine windows.

Your computer was not shipped with windows 7. your computer was shipped well before the release of windows7

Not true George - I bought this laptop from a dealer with this OS installed.
Never the less, I am willing to concede that I am screwed under the circumstances and have to purchase a new OS - which if you read the entirety of my last post I HAVE ALREADY DONE.
Rather than anyone else telling me I am fucked - I ALREADY KNOW I AM - will someone please tell me how to apply the new OS I have to this pc without having to do a complete reload?
Thanks

your problem is windows will always detect the activation exploit unless it is removed. the only way I know of is to install windows from scratch.
you have other issues as well which will be fixed with a fresh install

simply put, you were scammed.
