  • Unfortunately, Microsoft can't provide any such recommended figures because the answer to this question is: IT DEPENDS.

    It depends on:
Whether you are using CRM web client or Outlook client
How much and how frequently CRM will be synchronising with Outlook clients
How many emails and documents will get tracked in CRM
How many records will be opened and how often
How many complex searches will be run and how often
Finally, it also depends very heavily on what else users are doing.

I've had a customer complain about the speed of a hosted Microsoft CRM service, and when I visited their office lots of users were listening to internet-streamed radio, downloading movies on iTunes and watching BBC iPlayer. What chance does CRM have on this kind of network?

As a single user I can survive with a 28kps connection and still use CRM OK. But sometimes poor latency can make a 10Mbps connection unusable.
