Can't activate Win 7 Home Premium

Question
-
I tried upgrading from Vista home premium 64-bit to Win 7 home premium 64-bit and activation (automated and phone) fails apparently due to my newly purchased key not being genuine but before I demand a refund from the online seller, I want to make sure it wasn't something else wrong with my system. Thanks for helping! Here is my mgadiag report.

PLease post a new MGADiag report - This sounds VERY much like counterfeiting to me!
1) No=one except MS, Dell, and HP are allowed to sell Windows by download
2) There is no way to 'test' a Key except by installing and activating it - at which point the rules change, and it cannot be sold as a 'new' product.
3) There is no way that they should have sold a fraudulent Key in the first place.

If you purchased just an activation key, then it is fraudulent, period. They are not sold as a stand alone product, unless you get them directly from Microsoft. Get a refund immediately if you purchased it anywhere else. Who did you purchase it from?

I purchased it from pricetagcanada.com and it was a digital download that came with a link to Win 7 Home Premium ISO on digitalrivercontent.net which apparently is a legitimate site for hosting these images from what I've read elsewhere.Friday, November 22, 2013 9:44 PM

OK then you did not purchase just the Activation Key, and your purchase seems legit.

Correct. I was sent an email containing a key and a link to the ISO and even though they are claiming that they test their product keys before shipping to customers, I cannot activate the product through either automated or phone activation. Before I demand a refund, however, I want to make sure that activation is not failing for another reason. Can someone please review my log at the start of this thread and let me know if there is something else wrong that might be preventing activation?
Thanks!

Update: The store sent me a new key which worked properly. It looks like the key they gave me was the wrong one.
I also found out my PC didn't have KB971033 update installed which I enabled.
