    I recently installed world wide telescope. Ran the software and try full dome, full screen setup. Program crashed.

    This is what I did ...

    Ran the software

    Chose view -> Full Dome -> Full Dome

    F11

    Program crashed, white screen with and big red x

    Is there anything that I am doing wrong here.

    I am running windows xp professional, version 2002, service pack 3

    Is there anything that I am missing here?

    There was a bug in the Penumbra beta with full screen full dome view.

     

    You can download this update to fix the issue.

    The problem was the z-buffer for the dome preview was larger than the screen for a moment when the full-screen transiztion occurs.

    If the frame renders right at that moment it will crash. This happens almost without fail on many graphics cards.

     

    It is fixed this ther release below.
