letting subscription to Automatic Reneal expire RRS feed

  • Question

  •  I want my OneCare to expire as I will be gone for a few months (with electronics disconnected), and then start over  when I return. I spoke to someone and thought all was set, but today I got this popup that my OneCare is set  to 'Automatic renewal.' How do I get this straightened out /whom do I contact about this? Thanks

  • When you are ready to shut down the PCs and walk away from them, call customer service to cancel your subscription. A subscription purchased with a credit card is always auto-renewed annually unless you cancel that renewal. The "flag" for auto-renew cannot be turned off.
You might be able to change the credit card information on file to invalidate that information, but that isn't likely. If you try to cancel too early, customer service will probably cancel the subscription for you right away, hence the warning to wait until you are ready to have the susbcription canceled.
