    The OP has evidently pasted in some unbalanced HTML.   Instead of fixing the problem when it occurs the forum editor leaves it that way so when you try to view it in a different container your browser tries to make sense of it in that container.   If you are a moderator in that forum you could probably Edit that post's HTML and either remove the unbalanced tags or balance them properly (e.g. add closing tags where needed.)

    BTW this would be a good test of the forum editor's Status bar.   E.g. if you were just trying to fix this up without resorting to the HTML Source view, you could find out what happens in terms of tag nesting when you do stuff such as press Backspace or Delete.   Unfortunately I don't think there is any way of adding closing tags that way.   ; )
