  • Hi,

Are u doing the installation with an account with full domain access rights? it seems like it is struggling to create the security groups in Active Directory.

  • do u mean you are going to  install a fresh copy of crm by refering to the existing.

this error used to come if the MSCRM_Config FB is already present adn you are installing a fresh crm instance.

Before you perform the install, could you confirm the MSCRM_CONFIG database does not already exists? If it does (and assuming you have no other installations, you would need to remove this first.

  • Hi Lunew,

Make sure that when you install CRM 4.0 server right click the setup file-> Run as Administrator-> Get the updates for Microsoft Dynamic CRM (recommended)

  • thanks for the replies

the deployment is web1+web2+sql, both web1 and web2 had windows reinstalled ealier(sql didnt change), so I am reinstalling crm on both web servers.

MSCRM_Config already exists and the 5 ad security groups exists too.

    web1 went well.

I am using the domain admin, so I should have full rights.

It seems it is configing the 5 ad security groups when this error accurs.

I did it again with "run as..." and its the same.

I checked the MSCRM_Config.dbo.Server, web2 exists in this table even the install failed. I thought I removed the crm program before I had web2 windows reinstalled just as web1. Will this cause the above error?
