error code 0019-800 70643 & 0029-800 70643

Question
-
I have been using One Care for 5 months on my new laptop, which came with Vista.
Last week it suddenly had a RED message that there were 2 problems with one care. I clicked the "fix it" buttons but nothing changed other than it told me to re-boot.
None of the other computers on my home network are having any problems with One Care.
I eventually uninstalled One Care from the laptop by clicking "run" then typing "appwix.cpl", then uninstall one care....but at the very end it gave me a message: Cannot uninstal error ID 0029-800 70643.
I tried to re-install it, and again just before the end it said: Cannot install one or more of the components error ID 0019-800 70643.
Running appwiz.cpl says one care is no longer there, however it still asks permission to run programs, and does not appear in the tray... Hmmm
I tried tio install the 90 day beta version, but it too would not install.
I am now running the one care beta scanner for a second time (first time had no effect but did report 155 incorrect or unused registry entries.
Any hints on how to proceed?

The first error to resolve is the 0019 error, which may be the cause of the second error.
I think I would first suggest running the cleanup tool.

I assume that you are running Vista.
Save the tool to your desktop.
Right click the downloaded file on your desktop and select "Run as administrator"

Download the cleanup tool, then save it to the desktop or wherever you prefer
Explore the folder where you saved the cleanup tool,

OK, It didn't appear to work the first time, but the second time it did !
The only differerence was the second time I turned off my Vista Window firewall, with is "not recommended" according to the on screen warning.
Anyway, Thanks for the help all,
