2013 Account form, Opportunity grid flashes, won't display linked opportunities, can't add new (BUG, infinite loop?, flashing, sub-grid) RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have what I hope is a known bug with a fix due soon...    Scenario:

    1) Create Lead.  Qualify Lead.

    2) Opportunity form appears.  Click on Account hyperlink to open account form.

Result: Account form opens, but the Opportunity sub-grid on the right is "flashing" (as if it is forever re-querying and painting).  The opportunity that was just created does not appear, nor can I seem to time it properly to click the + to add a new opportunity.

The "Recent Opportunities" line stays fixed, but the topic and question keep appearing and disappearing, along with a notation where the opportunity grid should be, saying "loading records"...  sounds like an infinite loop somewhere...

During this time, the IE process is pegged at about 30% CPU, and appears to be continually, slowly, consuming memory...

Anybody else experiencing this unsettling behavior?  I'm running on IE 10.0.6, Windows 8, CRM 2013 online in a free 30-day trial instance created a couple of weeks ago. Many thanks!

    Dave

  • Tested this with IE 10.0.9 on Win 7 and CRM Online, it worked as expected. Didn't experience any control loading issue. tested on an environment that is OOB..maybe some customization is causing hte delay?

  • I appreciate the reply, and I thought of that, but this was a clean trial a few weeks ago and entity, form, and field customizations are all that have been done.  And not much of that.  No JS anywhere, on either the Account or the Opportunity.

Well, that's good news, I guess... if I'm the only one affected, I can deal...

  • You're not the only one affected I'm afraid...

I have been seeing this intermittently on a client site for weeks with no ability to replicate offsite, so we have been focusing on local firewall and proxy issues.

By chance it has just happened on my machine at home, so I think this may be a wider issue.

  • Clearing the cache and adding the link to trusted sites resolved this issue for me.

  • I have also seen a recommendation to try removing and reading the subgrid and it being an xml issue on the form.
