Cannot execute Microsoft Genuine Advantage RRS feed

    I am running a legal version of Windows 7 Enterprise but i cannot install Microsoft Genuine advantage. When trying to install it bombs out with the following error: "Code not available. The validation code could not be obtained. This may be due to technical difficulties, or you may be running an unsupported operating system. Please close this window and attempt the validation process again, or use the back button in your Web browser to return to the download details page. [Error code: 0x80072ee7"

    I am trying to install Windows XP mode for windows 7, but without being able to validate the copy of windows i cannot proceed. I ran the Microsoft Genuine Advantage tool and the summary of the results are presented below: Can someone please help urgently!

  • You are using a proxy server - it may be this which is causing problems, as the WGA ActiveX control needs to access the validation site.

    Check with your system admin about permissions and access - they are the only ones who can override the settings.
