Does WLOC Have a Comprehensive Virus/Threat data Base online? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm going to ask a dumb Question but it's because I never sawanything on one care site or help. Does wloc service have a large data base if a user finds a virus we can go look up how to clean up & remove the thing? I know other services have help sites with removal tools and manual info on how to remove a threat.

  • Microsoft Malware Protection Center

It's not specific to OneCare, but works for all of the Microsoft anti-malware products including WIndows Defender and MS Forefront client security since they all use the same basic engines and detections internally.

Last I knew, if you got some malware with WLOC the notification included a link to more information online. This was linked directly into the Encyclopedia pages relating to the specific threat.
