my system was working just fine till i installed onecare. since installing i am unable to download e-mail from my pop3 account at cox cable. keep getting an err of 0X80042108. I have even turned off the firewall and tried to download e-mail but no luck. I have allowed the readmail.exe to run too but no luck. If i uninstall the onecare system runs as it should.

that is what i thought but my wifes laptop has all the same security settings mine does and hers is working great. I would hate to loose symantic 10.2. there has got to be another way. i have even uninstalled and reinstalled three times. this is getting to make me mad. i think i'll just do with out it.
Having more than one antimalware application installed can cause conflicts, poor performance, or unexpected consequences. The best solution would be to uninstall Symantec or One Care.Jim - MVP Windows Live - Forum Moderator - Live One Care - Live Mesh - Microsoft Security Essentials
