Is CRM 2011 compatible with Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Can anyone confirm if Dynamics CRM 2011 is compatible - or more importantly 'supported' - when running on Windows Server 2008 R2 with SP1 ? It doesn't appear on the compatibility list for 2011: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2669061, although it seems to be listed for CRM 4.0.

I'm planning a rebuild of our existing CRM 2011 platform (currently on Windows Server 2008 not-R2), using 2008 R2 with SP1, which is our current standard.

I'm concerned that if we have to deploy CRM onto Windows 2008 R2 RTM, then we'll be out of service pack support 6 months from now.

    Thanks,

    Peter

  • Hi,

Windows 2008 R2 SP1 is not supported, other users have reported issues installing CRM 2011 with SP1 if you are planning doing a re-build.

However is listed for CRM 4, note that it is only supported for CRM 4 on rollup19.

RU10 was released August 10 and that list has been updated September 7, so RU10 does not introduces SP1 yet. However on an interesting note, CRM 2011 supports FIPS which should only run with SP1.

  • Hi, thanks Arup for the previous reply.

I see that rollup 12 is now out for CRM 2011. Does anybody know if RU12 brings support for Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1?

    Thanks,

    Peter
