It's Saying my Product Key is Wrong RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just bought an HP Laptop yesterday with Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit Edition already on it.  When I went through the set up process, everything went fine; however, when I try to get on MS Word 2007, it's asking for a product key.  When I enter it, it's saying that it's incorrect.  I've check and double check that I was enter the right number.  In fact, I allowed both my Father and my Brother to type it in, and still it's saying that it's invalid.  I know that 's it's genuine Windows, because I bought that Laptop from Sam's Club.
Also, I thought that it was not activated, so I activation by that "Phone Activation" process, but still no luck.  Please help me, I have no idea what's wrong.

  • Stuman,

The version of Microsoft Office which comes preinstalled on computers is a trial version unless you specifically order and pay for the full version to be installed prior shipping. The should be information inside the packaging which would provide you with a temporary product key to use for Office.
