    Hello,

I am new to synchronisation and am tryimg out the examples with vb 2008 and get the following error

"Error 2 Import of type 'Microsoft.Synchronization.Data.ClientSyncProvider' from assembly or module 'Microsoft.Synchronization.Data' failed."

has anyone else had this and how did you resolve it?

  • John,

    Can you provide some details.

-Are you running a 64 bit version of Visual Studio by any chance?

-What version of Sync Services for ADO.NET are you using (i.e. v1 which ships with VS 2008 or v2 CTP1 which is available as download only

    -What version of SQL CE?

-Which examples are you attempting to run and when does this error occur?

-Version of the .NET framework being used

    Thanks,

    Sean
