Select Period Not Functioning RRS feed

  • Question

  • Running Project Server 2010 with Feb CU installed: The Select Period on My Work-Tasks does not allow for any selection. "Previous" and "Next" is working. I seem to remember this working in the past. We have Timesheets disabled.

  • Hi Jim

yes you can use the period in the taks update, however you will need to set up the timesheet periods. Once set up you will be able to select the periods :)

this should do the trick. Let me know if you have any other issues

    Thanks

  • Hi, Jim

try to change layout in ribbon to timephase data and "previous" and "next" selection will be enabled.

  • We are using Timephased Data and the Buttons are working. What is not working is the "Select Period" button.

  • Hi Jim

So the next and pervious is work you mentioned but the Select Period is not working. Is it greyed out? Also I know this may be a silly question, but have you checked that you actually created periods in the server settings? I presume that has been working in the past?

    Thanks

  • Ah . .  I think I see the answer. "Select Period" is NOT greyed out. You are able to select it, but when the next window opens, there is nothing to do. Also, as I mentioned in my first post, we are not and never have been using Timesheets, therefore, have not set any time periods. Documentation that I have read seems to imply that the "Select Period" is also available for Task tracking only, but perhaps that is incorrect.
