How to create System Job RRS feed

  • Question

  • I need to create a custom asynchronous function in MSCRM 4.0. This function must be called from some period of time.

    How can I do this?

    Thanks

  • Hi Miha,

No I don't think there is any event that MS CRM will trigger as long as I know. Most probably, you will have to monitor processes  and see 'CrmAsyncService.exe' and take the necessary action/s accordingly. But, ofcourse that will be again as I mentioned earlier will be a seperate application.

  • Hi Miha198206,

If there is some triggering action involved with this then you can use CRM Workflows.

If it is a kind of scheduled job, then you will have to create an application[WinForms/Console] or a System Service and then schedule it as a Job.

Can you please provide more info on what exactly you need to do?

  • Hi Chinmay,

    thanks for your answer.

How can I start my workflow when MS CRM Asynchronous Service starts? Is there any event in MS CRM which say that Asynchronous Service has been started?

    Mikhail
