  • Question

I want to prepare for 70-452 and see that there are no practice tests nor preparation guides.  I don't understand this and these are available for other certifications.  Can you help me?

    Thanks,

  • Hi Bryan. I have passed 70-448 and 70-452. For 70-448 I used the self-paced training kit book. I then had the same problem as you as there didn't appear to be an "official" book for 70-452. Prior to going to the training centre to take 70-452 I re-read the 70-448 book. When I arrived on the course they gave me a copy of "DELIVERING BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE with Microsoft SQL Server 2008" by Brian Larson. This, and the re-reading of the 70-448 self-paced training kit was more than enough to get through the exam.

As for practice tests. The 70-448 book has a practice test CD, but I didn't find it very useful. To be honest, it just worried me when I saw the complexity of the questions. At the training centre (Firebrand in the UK, who were excellent by the way) they also had practice tests, but again they weren't comparable to the real thing and I just found them off-putting.

Read the 2 books I mention above, and you'll sail through. Good luck mate.

  • For most of the pro-exams, there are no books as such

I can see a classroom training in this link

LP452A: Learning Plan for SQL Server 2008 Business Intelligence Development and Maintenance (1 Forms)

Besides having completed MCTS 70-448 should have given you a good idea and now if you can enhance your skillset by checking out the requirements in MSDN\Google, it should help
