Rules regarding the Whitepapers/KowledgeBase. RRS feed

  • Question

    • White Papers / Knowledge Base:
      1. Registered students can post maximum of 3 white papers / technical articles in a month. 40 points will be credited to your account at the end of the month for uploading white paper if your article is rated by minimum of 5 students and have an average rated value of 3.5 and above.
      2. You will get points for downloading a white paper also. You can download any number of white papers in a particular month. But you will get points for downloading 5 white papers, 5 points for each. For this point accrual will be online.
      3. You can also rate the articles. You will get 5 points at the end of the month, for each article rated by you provided that article is rated by minimum of 5 students and your rating matches average rating.

      Please upload the articles which are academic & technical. Any of the Students who post meaningless articles for the sake of points shall be disqualified from the contest.

  • Guys please make sure you don't misuse this facility. As this will result in the disqualification of the person. Its better to not upload than to get disqualified.

  • yes you will not be awarded the points for rating the whitepapers. Even if it is so, then it wont be counted, because you need 5 people OTHER than you who needs to rate it >:)

  • yes m8. We should work as a team, upload whitepapers, and then rate the whitepapers. In working in a team, we can get more rating for the whitepapers, and also help others in getting the points. Also we will reach one step near to the 10K target; )

  • Yes m8, Making a whitepaper is really time consuming, so i guess its better to work in a team. Also each team member can rate it :) Thus resulting in creation of more whitepapers in lesser time .

    but the limit seems to be very less. it's a request to all participants please rate only those articles which are really good and have substance in them.

    on the 1st day only, there are many whitepapers which are totally useless.

  • I agree with you totally sanket. People have uploaded lot of *** at the first day itself, hop ethe admins dont put a smaller limit in the number of whitepapers  :P

    It also wastes the time of the reviewer who is gonna rate the article :P

  • i do agree with you. most of the whitepapers are just the blind copy from other sites. no reason to review them, as they are just wasting time.
