crm 4.0 on virtual mahcine. create a new vm

I have CRM 4.0 running on a virtual server. For testing purposes, I want to setup another virtual machine. however, I am having issues connecting to the new website on the new virtual machine. The message i am receiving when using the CRM Configuration Wizard is "The specified Microsoft Dynamics CRM server is not available." Anybody able to provide steps for this process?

I did not understand your question. Did you install crm on new virtual machine. Did you try to run crm through browser. If its not working in the browser, have a look at IIS. may be you are using a different port.
