Please me sure you have applied the lastest Update Rollup on the server.A possible work around, When you open the form don't click on the notes tab immediately. This worked for me when I had the same issue but applying the update rollup should resolve the issue.Hassan.

Hi Hassan,
One quick question....
My CRM version is 4.0.7333.1261. I am not sure whether the rollup4 was applied. Can I directly apply rollup5? Or is it mandatory to apply rollup4 and then apply rollup5?

Hi,You only need MS Dynamics CRM 4.0 installed to apply this update rollup. Update Rollup 1, Update Rollup 2, Update Rollup 3 and Update Rollup 4 are not prerequisites for rollup 5.Hassan.

Ok...Thanks.
Actually we have
CRMv4.0-KB970141-amd64-MUI-ENU.exe
CRMv4.0-KB970141-amd64-Router-ENU.exe
CRMv4.0-KB970141-amd64-Server-ENU.exe
CRMv4.0-KB970141-amd64-SRS-ENU.exe
updates. Can I only install the "CRMv4.0-KB970141-amd64-Server-ENU.exe" and fix the above issue. Others can I install later?
Or is it mandatory to istall all at the same time?

I wouldn't say its mandatory but and yes the single component should resolve the issue. The recommendation is to apply rollup for each component that you have installed.Hassan.

Hassan,
When I run the rollup it says that the "Microsoft Dynamics CRM server was not found on the server". But the system has the CRM installed on it and i am able to access it from the browser. Can you please help me on this...Friday, July 17, 2009 4:21 PM -
Ahhh....my server is 32 bit and was trying the rollup of 64 bit. Running the 32bit rollup solved the issue.Saturday, July 18, 2009 11:02 AM
