    I downloaded windows vista on my note book a month ago. Last night I recived a message from Microsoft saying that my cope is not genuine. I don't have the disk because I am away from home for a few days . Is it possible to restore my windows XP until I go back home.

    Your assistance and cooperation will be very much appreciated.

    PPSCC,

     

    There are a couple ways to restore your system. One would be is do you have the restore media software which came with your laptop?  Second is contact your laptop manufacturer and ask them if they placed a hidden partion on the hard drive which may be recalled for installation. The problem is when you installed Vista this hidden partion may have been erased.
