I have an on premise installation of CRM 4.0 and I'm attempting to turn on the IFD. Using straight HTTP works fine, but when I applied the SSL cert I get a invalid certificate warning in IE because CRM is redirecting from:
crm.mycompany.com
to
mycompany.crm.mycompany.com
My cert is for the domain crm.mycompany.com. I can't find anything in the documentation or on the forums that addresses this issue. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the response. I am not using ISA but did find what I needed in the IFD Deployment Scenario guide:
If your current certificate is crm.domain.com you would need to get a new certificate that would be called Microsoft.crm.domain.com or a wildcard certificate for *.crm.domain.com Note: Wildcard certificates will be needed if you plan to have more than one organization enabled for IFD.
A co-worker responsible for all certs chose a Go Daddy multi-domain certificate that includes mycompany.com, crm.mycompany.com, and mycompany.crm.mycompany.com. The IFD documentation does not mention a multi domain certificate. Is there a way to make it work?

HI
If you are configuring IFD in an environment where an ISA Server 2006 is being used please refer to this blog post for more information.
